Place des Pyramides

I have shared with you in the past, the pages I have completed for my Paris album.  But as usual, I have put that album aside for a bit, but this past month, I thought I might complete another couple of pages for the album.  I am a little over half way there in finishing up this album.

This month's workshop we are using CTMH's Florentine WOTG.  These papers reminded me of Paris, which then reminded me I haven't work on that album for a while.  So this two page layout, I am featuring our visit to Place des Pyramides in Paris.  The statue of Joan of Arc is located in the middle of this square.

I used Susan Stringfellow's, from Sketch Savvy, 2 page sketch.  The title  is part of the Florentine My Stickease collection from CTMH. I also used CTMH Bouquet Assortment and their Bitty Opaques Pearls Adhesive Gems.  I cut the flourishes out on my Wishblade.

So, another couple of pages to add to my Paris album...YAY!!  I still have more pages to share. So stop by soon and see what other pages I have completed.

Until next time,
Happy Scrappin'!

Kick This

As I have mentioned in earlier posts, this years goal isn't a number like in years past.  I decided to come up with a theme for each month and do as many layouts as possible.  For instance, January was birthday, and I shared with you the layouts I made for Deborah's and Matthew's birthday at Chuck E. Cheese.  February, I was suppose to complete layouts for Kelli's and my weddings.  Except I did a lot of planning during the month and did not do the first layout.  My bad!!  Then March rolled around, and this month the theme was sports. Now, I thought about doing a 2 pager for Deborah playing soccer. Haven't quite gotten there yet, BUT the good news, I completed these layouts. There are of Matthew and Deborah playing at the park with their dad, with a new soccer ball their grandmother  from New York sent them.  They had such a good time.

The papers used on Matthew's layouts came from my stash.  I've had them for quite a while and I don't remember who made them.  The foundation page is CTMH's Topiary cardstock. And the embellishments came from a digital scrapbooking kit.  I did a "print and cut" with my with my Wishblade for the oversize soccer ball.  The grass border came from a retired kit from Close To My Heart, "Lazy Days of Summer". The title "Kick This" was an overlay I purchased from scrapbook.com.

Now Deborah's pages, the foundation page is CTMH"s Pear cardstock and the patterned paper is from My Little Yellow Bicycle's "Baby Safari."  The rest of the embellishments are just like Matthew's pages.  Now I know both of these layouts, the journaling hasn't been done yet.  I leave that up to Kelli and she hasn't done it yet.  But once I put a little pressure, she'll get it done.

My pile of layouts, I've been wanting to share with you has been dwindling down.  But I keep completing more and more.
So stay tuned for my next set of layouts.
Thanks for stopping by,
Until next time...
Happy Scrappin'!!

Christmas Layouts

Here we are celebrating St. Patrick's Day, and I am sharing Christmas layouts.  Go figure eh?  These first set of layouts, I thought the pictures I had from Christmas morning were lost and gone forever.  I have a system for filing my pictures, but for some reason, I didn't move these pictures to the right files.  But after going through some files, I discovered them.  I was so excited to know I had them, that I couldn't wait to get them onto a layout.  This first set is for Deborah's fourth year album.  I picked up the white border at my LSS before it went out of business.  The papers are from CTMH's My Reflection's "Roxie" paper pack.  Since I completed the layout for Deborah's album, I decided to duplicate the layout and use Matthew's pictures for his second year album.  The papers I used for his pages are CTMH's My Reflection's "Believe" paper pack (retired).  I didn't have the same decorative borders for Matthew's pages, so I used Martha Stewart's punch around the page punch to give the same effect as I did with Deborah's pages.

These were really simple to put together.  I used Martha Stewart's punches throughout the layout.  I really gives that festive feel to the layouts.  This next set of layouts, I completed for my January workshop.  I decided to try something different.  Instead of using reds and greens for the layout (which is quite common colors for Christmas) I decided to give that 'White Christmas" feel to the layout.  It doesn't hurt either that Deborah is wearing colors that coordinate with the paper pack.  It was totally unplanned!!!  LOL

I used CTMH's My Reflection "Wonderland" paper pack and the My Stickease for this layout.  I cut the poinsettias out with my Wishblade.  I used Martha Stewart's punch for the decorative scalloped edge at the top. And I used an older snowflake stamp, my glue pad and glitter at the top and bottom of the page.

Thanks so much for stopping by and permitting me to share my latest creations.
Until next time...

Proud Papa

So who do you scrap for? What pictures are you scrapping presently? How many albums do you have either full or half full or just starting? Are you new to scrapbooking or are you a seasoned scrapper? How do you organize your layouts once they are completed? I have four grandchildren and I scrap for them. I have an album for each year since they were born. I try to include pictures for each month of the year for that particular album. It doesn't always work that way, but there are always other pictures from previous months I can use. I really don't have a problem with picture shortages.

I also have quite of few other albums. I have albums for my children of course, but I also have several heritage albums. I am really into researching my family's history and I love putting a picture to the name. I feel so blessed to have parents and grandparents who loved taking photographs to preserve that particular moment in time.

I guess you can say, if its not nailed down, I'll scrap it! LOL  Today, I would like to share with you another 2 page layout I've completed recently.

I love this picture of Dave and Kevin.  We were on our way to the east coast with our final destination being Iceland.  Kevin was only 6 weeks old when we started our PCS move.  We just happened to stop off at a store or mall (I can't remember now) and Kodak was showing off their new Polaroid camera and giving free snapshots away.

The papers I used for this layout are from CTMH My Reflection "Lucky" paper pack along with some coordinating chipboard elements.  I cut my title out on my Wishblade and the other elements you see on the layout came from my stash.

This two page layout is of my daughter Kelli.  This is the project we completed for my September workshop.  I thought I had shared this before, but I was mistaken. The smaller picture on the left page was taken at homecoming that year and the larger picture is her school picture.  The photo on the right side was just a snapshot taken.  I love that smile of Kelli's.  She would light up the room when she would enter.  She still does!

The papers are from CTMH's My Reflection "Typeset" paper pack.  I cut the bracket square with my Wishblade and most of the elements on the two pages along with the title.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I still have lots more to share with you, so stay tuned.

Until next time,
Happy Scrappin'

First Day of Kindergarten

Happy Friday everyone!
Things here in the rubber room have been quite busy.  I have completed a bunch more layouts and I am so excited to share them with you.  Do you know the feeling you get when you are almost done with a project or you're so close to the finish line?  Well, that's the feeling I have right now.  I started looking through all the scrapbooks I have for my grandchildren, and I have noticed I only need a layout here and a layout there to complete their albums.  And its not just in one album, its in quite a few of them.  So let me share with you some of those layouts.

I started these layouts of the twins back in September when the twins started kindergarten.  I've had them completed for some time but its only been recently I realized I haven't shared them with you.  I still can't believe they are growing up so fast.

Most of the components of the layouts are from my stash.  The foundation paper is CTMH's Holiday Red cardstock.  All the diecuts are print and cuts with my Wishblade.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Stay tuned, I'll have more to share with you later.
Until next time,
Happy Scrapping!
